Nakano-Fujimicho

Nakano-fujimicho Station is located in the southwestern end of Nakano Ward of Tokyo. It has 2 side platforms which are served by the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line.

Fujimicho is a quiet residential neighborhood of Nakano Ward in the western end of Tokyo. The closest place of interest is the Salvation Army Bazaar, located 10 minutes walk from Nakano-fujimicho Station.

Salvation Army Bazaar

The Salvation Army Bazaar is a thrift shopping area run by the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is an organization founded by a Methodist preacher, William Booth, in 1865. Its aim is to spread the gospel and the doctrine of charity for the poor and equal rights for all throughout the world. Japan has several Army centers that are involved in protecting human rights.

The Salvation Army Bazaar, which is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., has a big selection of Japanese dishes (very cheap), old kimono and obi , and the usual collection of eclectic junk. The clothes sold at the bazaar are mainly used clothes donated by people.
