Korakuen
Korakuen
Station is
located in the Kasuga area of Bunkyo
Ward of Tokyo, and is served by
the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi and Namboku
Subway Lines. Since the area is
a low altitude one, the Marunouchi
platform is located on the second
floor of the station building. Korakuen
Station is also directly connected
to Kasuga Station by means of an
underground pedestrian passage,
and is integrated with the Bunkyo
Ward Capitol Building and the Tokyo
Dome City.
Chuo
University (Korakuen Campus)
With
what started as English Law School
in 1885, Chuo University is today
one of the largest and most prestigious
universities of Tokyo with three
campuses – at Hachioji, Korakuen,
and Ichigaya. It follows a strong
tradition of providing practical
education based on British empiricism
and rationalism, while maintaining
the founding spirit of fostering
human resources in a vibrant and
supportive environment. Chuo University
has six faculties - Law, Economics,
Commerce, Science and Engineering,
Letters, and Policy Studies, 26
departments, and seven graduate
schools – Schools of Law, Economics,
Commerce, Science and Engineering,
Letters, Policy Studies, and Public
Policy.
The
Korakuen Campus of Chuo
University houses the
Faculty of Science and Engineering.
It is
located a 5-minute walk from Korakuen
Station, on a terrace overlooking
Korakuen Park and the Tokyo Dome
baseball stadium. Equipped with
the latest educational and research
facilities, the Faculty is among
the best in Tokyo and has produced
some great alumni.
Toppan
Hall
Toppan
Hall is a well-known concert hall
for classical music. Built with
the unique concept of “box-in-box”,
which keeps outside noise from coming
inside, and excellent acoustics,
the hall is an ideal place for both
the performer and the listener.
Toppan Hall has an area of 580 m².
While the inside is all built of
quince, birch
and cypress woods, the outside
wall is of granite and the roof
of galvanized stainless steel.

Station.
